Nicole Tobias is energetic, personable and determined. As a freshman, Tobias is quickly emerging as a hardworking leader in the Department of Communication, as well as a dedicated public relations student.

Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pa. and Thomas Jefferson high school, Tobias was confident in her choice to attend Waynesburg University for public relations. She instantly became passionate about the university, Department and the public relations field.

“I came to Waynesburg University because they were the most personable and welcoming school I met at the college fair in Pittsburgh,” said Tobias. “Shortly after, I fell in love with their Department of Communication.”

Nicole is involved with the Waynesburg University Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter, where she recently became the High School Initiative Presentation Coordinator and the Local Events and service Chair, Red Brick Communications, where she serves as the Public Relations Director and an Account Specialist, and she works in the university’s Office of Admissions as a Student Ambassador.

“I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to have these positions as a freshman,” said Tobias. “I look forward to working with those above me.”

Off campus, Nicole serves as a leader at her church’s youth group and works for the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation. In her limited free time, Tobias enjoys watching the TLC network, listening to music and cooking.

Thinking about the future, she would like to work for the Pittsburgh Penguins or launch her own event planning company. Tobias is looking forward to the next four years at Waynesburg University, as well as with PRSSA and the Department of Communication.
