Adam McKnight, a junior public relations major at Waynesburg University, is an avid tennis player, a general body member of the Waynesburg University Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter, and an Account Specialist for Red Brick Communications, a nationally affiliated student-run firm communication firm.
McKnight hails from Morgantown, W. Va. He attended Morgantown High School, and states he found Waynesburg University accidentally.
“I found out about Waynesburg from a tennis tournament that I attended one weekend,” said McKnight. “But I ended up at the campus instead of the courts.”
He admits that he really enjoyed the campus after finding it, and that he is happy with his choice to attend the university. Originally an Information Technology major, McKnight quickly switched his major to public relations after his tennis coach introduced him to Department of Communication professor Bill Molzon.
As an active general body member, McKnight has participated in two Regional Conferences, as well as Public Relations Day last semester. During this event he was part of the facilities management committee, and assisted in pre-event setup and refreshments. This year, he will also be assisting with Waynesburg University’s annual Charter Day.
Outside of the Department of Communication, McKnight works at the Mon Valley Hospital in Morgantown, W. Va. In his free time, McKnight enjoys playing tennis and watching the sport.
In the future, he would like to work in internal relations or sports public relations. He is looking forward to his last year at Waynesburg as a public relation student, as well as continuing his work in the Department of Communication.
Tanner McKnight is a freshmen public relations major at Waynesburg University. He is a general body member of PRSSA, as well as an Account Specialist for Red Brick Communications, a nationally affiliated, student-run communications firm. He is also a member of the men’s soccer and tennis teams.
