Session: SharifaSays: Communicate In Style

Presenter: Sharifa Murdock, Co-Founder, Liberty Fairs

Recap: Sharifa Murdock, Co-Founder of Liberty Fairs, shared her journey to success with young practitioners, and how they can achieve greatness in their professional lives. She also shared the message that while rising to the top, it is important to remain humble. Murdock aspired to work for Atrium, a New York clothing boutique, when she was just 16 years old. She then worked for retailers such as Donna Karan, Michael Kors and Louis Vouitton, before returning to Atrium. From there, Murdock, with her mentor and business partner, Sam Ben-Avraham, aspired to create a new era in fashion trade events with their business, Liberty Fairs.

  3. Having a network is crucial.
